Sunday 10am - 4pm Postcards, cigarette cards, stamps, coins, militaria & photographs did extremely well in our last auction. In this sale we offered the Alan Bosher (1939-2007) collection of postcards & ephemera. Alan, known to many as 'Bowie', was a keen collector from a very early age and amassed a superb collection of postcards relating to Reading & the local area. He also had a great interest in The Wild West and Military subjects. Consequently the postcard section is full of interesting lots, including many rare photographic cards.
CIGARETTE CARDSOnce again we were able to include a fine selection of cigarette & trade cards, from single items to collections. Among the highlights are a rare set of Slade & Bullock, Modern Inventions, several sets of the sought-after Whitbread Inn Signs and a good number of single cards including several rare Taddy issues
